The CRC website is designed to provide key information and resources about clinical care for staff members caring for residents living in long-term care (LTC) facilities. The CRC project began as a Civil Money Penalty (CMP) funded research project in 2007. The website, originally called WCRC (Wisconsin Clinical Resource Center) was designed by the Center for Health Systems Research and Analysis (CHSRA) at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. The project was jointly sponsored by the Wisconsin Health Care Association (WHCA), LeadingAge Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (WI DHS).
Website access is currently available to staff working in Wisconsin nursing homes and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (WI DHS). A pilot project between UW Madison - CHSRA and the Texas Health Care Association (THCA) began in 2017 which provides CRC access to skilled nursing facility (SNF) staff working in in the state of Texas.
